Stumbled upon this site by chance. I run science clubs for young kids and want to incorporate more cooking activities. I was just thinking about how cooking can be used to teach science process skills. Your examples and ideas are great.

UTBT SAYS: Thanks Shaheen.

Look look look.. she's back. The whole world probably knows by now.

You were missed, your well researched posts were missed. Chulaisms and Miejaisms were missed.

Loved the series on cooking, I do many of those things, more instinctively just to keep them occupied in the kitchen while I get work done. Never realized there is so much learning to it. Will increase their kitchen timings with reduced guilt :)

UTBT SAYS: Hi there lovey. Hope the little ones are doing fine. Heard a lot abt them from YaadaYaada.

You picked up where you left off! And you did it with style :) Very well thought out and presented post. Utbt touch, I guess.

Eggs remind me of a friend who didn't eat them, but was so fascinated that she will want to break them for us when we made omlettes. We joked that she'll start eating them soon and she did!

Ah how these posts were missed. You fill a niche spot in the mommy blogdom UTBT. I so love the thought behind using cooking to teach these concepts! Maybe atleast this will send me to the kitchen

UTBT SAYS:Thanks Poppy. I consider myself a "fallen cook". The thought of cooking two meals a day for the rest of my life is VERY depressing. So I get the kids inside to make the ordeal tolerable.
