Same here at our household where I gloss over things when it comes to violence, I use the term "Ummachi vadham panniduvaar". The meaning of vadham is preetty open ended though. Sometimes it is scary...terribly. I just tell him not to talk that way. When I told him, that shooting me means, that I will go away and when asked who will care for him, "Naane enna parthukuvein". Totally baffled me. Not sure how to deal with this fascination. I hope it blows away and then later on I can explain it when he can really understand and not be too dramatic about it. Sometimes when he is angry, he tells me, "Amma poi sethu poidu". The first time I heard it, I slapped him and later (still) wondered where this came from. It is so random, it makes me thing that they have all this already encoded in their DNA and when some kind of trigger occurs, it just manifests.
