How creative!! Wow!!

Am inspired, girl - and I can totally see he need for the ban :)

Although in my case, Mr.Smarty-Pants dad would probably interrupt my storytelling to correct some slightly incomplete "facts" - like the time I was telling Ana in the context of a story, as an aside, that there are 2 species of elephants that we can distinguish by features easily, trying to make it a game while looking at pictures, and Appa interrupts with, "Um.. actually 3 kinds..." and goes on to irritate me with subspecies listing :)

Neat.
Happens here too, but the stories are way too eccentric than what I can handle. The kids have a blast however.

On popular demand, Storyman should start doing guest posts here :)

Amazing.. R needs to start his own blog now. And while he's at it, can you please ask C & M to create one too? I'll be a loyal reader of all 4 of you! :D
I H.A.V.E to show this to J when he gets back.. lovely idea that he could use too!

UTBT SAYS: R, his own blog?! Yeah right. The man was slightly cross with me for 'embarrassing' him in public. Go figure.

WOW .. Storyman indeed sounds very very creative !!! THere used to be a time when a similar bed time routine was in place in our house .... now Cantaloupe cannot have enough of Mahabharat stories ... she is so fascinated by them. And BP narrates one story every night ... and some stories are new to me as well.
Pleasantly surprised by my man and his mahabharat knowledge :)

UTBT SAYS: Well, with R, it was indeed. If for some reason he is not able to make it for story time, even I am a little bummed.

Maha Impressed.

My mom used to tell my son this story of hunter vs woodpecker+rat+deer. he has started learning a few animal names now and wants to include them all in this story. I am left with finding roles for chinchilla, African Elephant, Rhinoceros and your regular barn animals. I was stumped when he said Tasmanian Devil the other night. It is becoming increasingly difficult. Can I also chant storyman, storyman...?

UTBT SAYS: It will get even more difficult when the little one adds not just characters, but also storyline/plot. We have two devils coming up with stuff and R improvises at an amazing manner. So feel free to ask Storyman for tips.
