The dolls are so cute just like C & M. And can we get to see a puppet show when we visit next time.
UTBT SAYS: Thanks.
Anyways, you get the summary of A.L.L the stories they have read in between your visits. So a few more puppet theater demos won’t hurt. God, you are so patient with them. Thanks.
wow wow wow … we are sure going to try this too… I will share this post with Adi.. she will love it… Adi is going to be one of the youngest follower of your blog… soon she is going to ask me “so what new craft did the aunty post today?” great…
UTBT SAYS: The pleasure is mine 🙂
Can I please come and drop off my little one at your place? If that is too much to ask, can I come for some lessons? You need to start a school or something.. seriously!
Love all the summer posts.. kalakkitteenga! 😀
UTBT SAYS: Sure, sure. Bring C over. Can’t wait to give her a squeeze 🙂
Cool ideas ….
The fuse bead was not a hit in our house …Cantaloupe did not like it as much as I had hoped she would.
Perhaps Junior … will wait 🙂
UTBT SAYS: Isn’t it fascinating that every kid is so different?!
Wow! I have been reading these posts of yours over the past few days, and am speechless. We loved the idea of making a tent with newspapers very much, and are waiting for a holiday to come by to put it into action. We also found some fuse beads (have been looking for them since you wrote about them some time ago) at Lifestyle, and have got a packet. Will try them out too as soon as we can. Thanks a lot.
What about writing that book on these activities?
UTBT SAYS: Books can be written later. Even if not the blog will be a repository of ideas – some original and some borrowed. But like I told Boo in the last post, I certainly have something going on in my head. Finally overcame my inertia and started the initiative last week. Will write about that soon.
And many m.a.n.y stories- that too!
UTBT SAYS: Sharing a short story from Mieja.
Once there was a parrot. He was a rainbow colored parrot. One day he lost all his colors and became gray. He was so sad. Then one day the colors came back. But he was very careful. So he glued the colors and never lost them. THE END.
All her stories start with ‘Once’ and end with ‘The End’. Currently she is in to chapter stories, influenced by the chapter books her sister is reading. So the story goes on for multiple days. Chapter stories also have Once and The End along with Contents, Chapter title 🙂
Like her teachers say, she is a character.
Goddess, kindly grace our land soon.
UTBT SAYS: 🙂
@Sandhya: We have much fuse bead art work this summer as well – just be a bit careful when you do the ironing – call me for tips!
UTBT SAYS: I place wax paper and apply the heat on the paper. What is your technique Chox?
Wow. I sure know what you guys did this summer- You had FUN!!
UTBT SAYS: Guilty as charged 🙂
OMG! what an awesome spread! Please grace the east coast, specifically the Narad household too 🙂 I would be glad to cook and take care of you and the rest of you, just give me some ideas or better still make them with Narad 🙂
UTBT SAYS: You are going to cook for me? Done. The deal is sealed. With each passing day, I becoming a bit less domestic.
Loved the fused beads and the parrot story!! Love the sock puppets too…
Wonderful that Meija has this concept of the rainbow coloured parrot losing his colours and becoming gray because he is sad. And LOL at sticking the colours on with glue. A is going to love this story.
@Chox: will call you for tips!
UTBT SAYS: Current story is about a play date. It is a chapter story. She is narrating chapter ‘Who is who?’ She quizzed me and found that I was saying ‘Mm’ without following and reprimanded me. She might shift loyalties if she knows that there are people appreciating her stories.
Puppet theater is really amazing.
Some tips please.
UTBT SAYS: AA, I had some packing boxes. I cut an L-shaped section from it, gave the girls glitter glue, foam stickers, markers and dot paints. The foam stickers were ocean theme, so they came up with making a puppet theater beach. It kind of just happened and I don’t have any step by step to offer.
We bought these today 🙂 Will share the pics as soon as we get to it.
UTBT SAYS: Cool!

UTBT SAYS: Thanks. I have drooled over your creativity and the way you have organized your home Art. You have ‘art’ right in your name 🙂
