   UTBT SAYS: There are more Barbies in India than the rest of the world Put together! But my problem is not just the toy. Even when there is no Barbie at home, they pretend play house and mommy. But….it is the dynamics Barbie will bring in to the house….. With TWO, GIRLS, Only 18 mo apart, they feed off of each other. It will definitely become a self sustaining cycle that drives me up the wall. I can already see that with the Polly pockets they have and I am having enough of it. Thankfully Polly’s clothes are tearing from continuous use and seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Barbie ain’t happening in my house. It is something like ‘nattamai’ putting his ‘thundu’ on his shoulder. ‘Theerpai thiruppi ezhudha mudiyadhu’. (Translates to, ‘The judge has decided and the verdict cannot be changed.’)

   If you have some friends like I do (who went behind my back and asked Saankhya for her favourite toy and brought the you-know-who, no not Voldermort…I mean Barbie), then nattamai-yavadhu thundaavadhu! Can I send a few btw (not thundu…Barbies!) ?? 🙂

   UTBT SAYS: I have friends, who did exactly the same. Not that they went behind my back, they were just trying to get what the child really wants. I had to explain to friends the predicament, they were all quite understanding….. a big loop, but did it nevertheless.

   UTBT SAYS: Yeah, pavam, they don’t have A.N.Y thing and a Barbie doll will bring such joy and contentment. Just one more thing they will fight about and I would rather they do it over what they already have.
